Zachary D. Peck

After law school, Zachary relocated to Tampa, Florida where he began his career with the Hillsborough County Public Defender’s Office before moving to a highly regarded criminal defense firm in the Tampa area. After returning to Las Vegas, Zachary served as a Judicial Law Clerk for Judge Ellie Roohani. There, he gained invaluable experience working within the Las Vegas criminal justice system and was tasked with analyzing the filings of prosecutors and defense counsel in preparation for the Judge’s criminal docket. After finishing his clerkship, Zachary immediately joined Sgro and Roger’s criminal defense team, where he handles cases ranging from first-degree murder to misdemeanor trespasses.

Zachary D. Peck joined Sgro and Roger in 2022 after practicing in Tampa, Florida for several years. He practices mostly in criminal defense and has experience defending cases that include capital murder, homicides, DUI, sex crimes, battery, theft, drug trafficking, and firearms offenses.

Zachary was born and raised in Connecticut and spent several years in Las Vegas before returning to Connecticut to attend law school. His law school experience focused on criminal law, externing with a local public defender’s office, the United States Attorney’s Office for the District of Nevada, and multiple criminal defense firms. Zachary also served in the law school’s criminal defense appellate clinic, where his brief on behalf of an indigent client earned the law school’s award for excellence.
